A Semester Course in Practical & Protection Magick What does it mean to protect your energy, establish meaningful boundaries, and cultivate a relationship with the unseen that is grounded in discernment rather than fear? In Defense — The Dark Arts is a 15-week immersive course offered through The Sacred EXchange, designed to guide practitioners through the disciplined study and practice of protective magick. Through historical exploration, guided reflection, practical exercises, ritual work, and personal integration, students develop a foundational understanding of three essential pillars of protection: shielding, deflection, and warding. Within this course, the Dark Arts are understood as the disciplined study of shadow, boundary, and unseen force, practiced for the protection and sovereignty of the practitioner and their community. Here, dark refers to what is hidden or unseen—not what is inherently evil. This distinction establishes the foundation for a thoughtful, ethically grounded approach to working with protective practices.
